With over 18 years in Graphic Design and Marketing, and the past 3 years spent running my own retail business- I have spent my time in the trenches. I have a first-hand, and intimate understanding of the needs and limitations of a small business.
I have a conventional but diverse educational history including years of hard sciences and art classes from Saddleback College, the University of Utah and the Art Institute of Seattle.
But the education that has really left a lasting impression includes several years working two jobs while setting up the drums at night and playing regular late-night bar gigs and living in my truck (which afforded me a maximum amount of time-off in the mountains of Utah- running, climbing and mountain biking); organizing and completing a 6 month, self-supported bicycle trip from Prudhoe Bay, Alaska to Southern California; and opening, and running my own retail store in Kirkland Washington for two years of what has been called "the worst economic climate since the great depression".
I love challenges. I love a well designed logo or expertly type-set page. I love being outside. I don't believe in dreams: for me the next step after hatching a big idea... is tackling it.
But most importantly, I love helping people make their ideas and aspirations come to life.
